Welcoming the New Roman Missal
This Advent we will welcome a New Roman Missal. The Church provides us with a liturgical book that is rich in history and tradition. The new missal which we now call a sacramentary, is the collection of prayers that our presider leads. It includes all Eucharistic canons or prayers, the gathering prayers or collects, prefaces and all the special prayers used in our Eucharistic celebrations. It does not contain our readings, hymns, or the prayers of the faithful.
In the months to come we will provide you with more indepth materials on the Missal and invite you to explore the many educational resources which you can access on line. Below you will find just a few such possibilities
