WITHIN OUR PARISH
Exhibit on Religious Life in America coming to Sacramento
From January 24th through June 3rd there will be a great opportunity to see the story of women religious in the making of our country. The exhibit, Women and Spirit, will be at the California History Museum. For more information and a link to a virtual tour, go to : www.womenandspirit.org/
Welcoming the New Missal!
As we move into our new year, we continue to explore the meaning of the Mass in our lives and to embrace the new Roman Missal. Here are a few of our plans going forward

Series of Bulletin inserts on Eucharist
Continuation of our scripture/liturgy series on Monday evenings/Tuesday mornings

Scripture Series
Our ongoing scripture classes will focus on the links between scripture and the Eucharist celebration in coming weeks. The sessions will begin again in January and continue throughout the Lent. Be sure to plan on taking part.
Holy Spirit Book Club
The next meeting of the book circle is the last Thursday of the month in McHugh Social Hall at 1:00 p.m. The book circle will explore works with spiritual and theological elements. Selections will include works of fiction, biography and spirituality. This month's book is The Shirley Letters.
Holy Spirit Parish Library
All parishioners are invited to avail themselves of the spiritual reading materials in our parish library. We have a good selection of biographical works, spirituality, scripture and children's literature. Selections may be checked out for one month. The library is open on the second weekend of the month before and after Masses.
Holy Spirit Men's Group
Want to deepen your faith as a disciple of Christ? All the men of the parish are invited to attention our Wednesday morning faith sharing group just for men. It meets from 7 a.m. until 7:50 on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Topics for sharing include understanding faith, living Christian values at work, meeting the challenges of moral choice. Please come.
